Friends – please come out and join us at Flanagans Harp and Fiddle this Saturday!! See a message from Bethesda local and all round awesome person Robert Gelb:

This Saturday (The 17th), from 3pm-5pm, the Bus 52 team and our supporters will be at the Harp & Fiddle in Bethesda. Please feel free to stop by and say hello and learn about the project.

The Harp & Fiddle (Flanagans) has been a Bethesda institution for years – come by and share a pint, have a soda, or grab some grub, and listen to us talk your ears off about how excited we are about Bus 52.

Watching the Champions League in Bethesda Cont.

OK folks, so this week is the UEFA Champions League semi finals (for those of you not familiar with it, basically it is the penultimate round of the most important European Soccer Club tournie). Tomorrow Bayern Munich play Lyon at 230pm and on Wednesday Barcelona (the defending champions) play Inter Milan also at about 230pm.

If you are interested in watching the games live I’d say that Flanagans Harp and Fiddle should be a terrific venue. I’m also guessing that RiRa will have the game on and I imagine that Jaleo will have the Barca v Inter game on at the bar. My plan is to try and pop over to Flanagans for one game and RiRa for the other BUT if Barcelona manage to knock out Inter I am going to get a celebratory drink or two at Jaleo’s….let me know if you have plans for watching the games here in our home town.

Just wanted to share the schedule of games being shown today at the Harp and Fiddle on Cordell Ave. As I mentioned last week it is a super place to have a late lunch and watch these midweek Champions League games and to catch other interesting matches. Today they are showing the defending Champions League holders Barcelona play Stuttgart (same day delay). They are also showing the English Champions Man Utd in their game against West Ham. SO, if you have some time try and check out a match:
