Interested in Investing in Real Estate (Bethesda and Beyond)?

Starting in September, a colleague and I will be holding the first of a series of free seminars on real estate investing. These seminars are going to be geared towards folks who are interested in investing in the real estate market but have not had the time to think about all the different opportunities/ issues involved.

If you would like to attend please email and put “real estate seminar” in the subject line.

We are still trying to work out the logistics (day/ time etc) and will be seeking input on those matters from the folks who RSVP.

Bethesda Film Festival Cont.

Ok folks, have another idea for a good film for next summer:

True Lies!

A reasonable question to be fair…..well largely due to where it was filmed:

TrueLies (1994)He can tango. He can two-step. He can lead two lives. Wow. Schwarzenegger is abrilliant actor, sort of. At work he’s a tough-edged government agent on thetail of a terrorist. At home he pretends to be a computer salesman. The two finally have to mesh because he must seduce his bored wife. Filmed in Bethesda,Montgomery County. Directed by James Cameron. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold.

Ok, maybe that isn’t a good reason! Back to the drawing board!

Life of Pi at Bethesda Film Festival

Every year Bethesda Up puts on a fantastic outdoor film festival (at the end of Norfolk, right near Cornucopia). The final film of the week for this year was “Life of Pi” and I ended up going to watch it with my family. Now, it was not THE best film I have seen at a Bethesda outdoor screening but, once again, was reminded of how much fun these events are and how they have really been embraced by the community. So, well done Bethesda Up –  looking forward to see what films you have for the community next year!

Cork and Fork and the Tour de France

cork & fork

Just received an interesting note from our friends at Cork & Fork (Bethesda Lane). They are putting together an event that will link the Tour de France bike race with their own “Tour de Vin.” It starts on June 29th and seems quite fun! Here is a little blurb from their annoucement:

Wines of the week… Each week, we will feature wines from the regions of the race with highlighted tastings on Saturdays
The wines selected for the celebration of 2013 Tour de France went through the arduous test of passing the palate examination of each of the three buyers for Cork & Fork, Dominique, Anna, and Antoinette. We picked one wine from every wine region the Tour will cross, and are planning on adding more to our selection. We are excited to share this selection with you and share also our knowledge of winemaking in France.

More info on this to follow!

Reminder: Reel Water Film Festival is on June 15th!
